Hall, trailing in sixth place at the halfway mark, surged in the final stretch to edge out Britain’s Matthew Hudson-Smith and Zambia’s Muzala Samukonga. Hall’s personal best of 43.4 seconds marked the fifth-fastest time ever, making it the 20th gold for the U.S. in this event.
The US men's volleyball team experienced a rollercoaster match against Poland, ultimately losing in five sets. Despite a dominant third set, the Americans couldn’t maintain momentum, falling 15-13 in the decisive fifth set.
