Wilson’s Birthday Gift to the Phillies (4-minute read)

Weston Wilson delivered with an infield single that proved to be the game-winner as the Phillies edged the Rays 3-2. Zack Wheeler picked up his 15th win, but more importantly, the Phils have won 14 of their last 18 and are looking to October. Nick Castellanos hit his 20th home run of the season, and if the Phillies can stay hot, they’re looking at a deep run in the playoffs.

Pirates Sweep Marlins (4-minute read)

Bailey Falter looked flawless in the Pirates' 3-1 win over the Marlins, throwing a no-hitter into the seventh. After struggling with a 4.45 ERA, Falter delivered his best performance in two years, striking out five batters. Jared Triolo chipped in with his eighth homer of the season to help the Pirates sweep the Marlins.

Yankees-Red Sox (4-minute read)

The New York Liberty (30-6) are riding a four-game win streak and aim to make it five against the struggling Dallas Wings (9-27). While Dallas leads the league with 40.5 points in the paint, New York’s secret sauce is all about the boards, with Jonquel Jones pulling down 9.2 rebounds per game. In their last meeting, Breanna Stewart torched the Wings with 27 points, leading the Liberty to a 105-91 win. On the Wings' side, Arike Ogunbowale is putting up 22.6 points per game, but even with her firepower, Dallas has only managed a 7-11 home record. 

Texas State Offense on Fire (3-minute read)

Texas State (2-0) has been lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 41.5 points and 495 yards per game as they prepare to host Arizona State. Senior QB Jordan McCloud has thrown for 547 yards and five TDs, while receiver Chris Dawn Jr. leads the team with 163 yards and two scores. Arizona State, however, has its own powerhouse: freshman QB Sam Leavitt and Big 12 rushing leader Cam Skattebo, who’s averaging 155.5 rushing yards per game.
